At El Confidencial, leader of independent digital journalism in Spain, we are selecting a Senior Product Manager (Growth/Digital Subscriptions). Their mission will be to drive the growth of the subscription product, enhancing user activation, conversion, and retention to consolidate our business model and take it to the next level.
This role is key in the company's strategy: we are looking for someone who combines product vision, analytical capacity, and a hands-on mentality to make our digital subscriptions a distinctive experience.
🎯 Main Mission
Design, optimize, and grow the digital subscription product of El Confidencial, ensuring an increasing ARPU, high retention, and maximum value proposition for the user.
🛠 Main Responsibilities
- Define the product strategy and roadmap, prioritizing with frameworks (RICE/ICE/Cost of Delay).
- Design and optimize paywall, landings, and conversion journeys focusing on value clarity and minimal friction.
- Improve onboarding, notifications, emails, and habit-building mechanisms.
- Manage product experiments (A/B or multivariate) with methodological rigor.
- Analyze cohorts, funnels, and subscription metrics to identify growth levers.
- Coordinate with technology, editorial, and marketing teams to deliver value agilely.
- Drive key metrics: ARPU, LTV, and churn reduction.
✅ Must Have
- Experience in digital product management (ideally in subscriptions, e-commerce, or SaaS).
- Solid knowledge in subscription economics (pricing, activation, cohort retention).
- Experience designing and analyzing product experiments.
- Storytelling ability to align stakeholders.
- Proficiency in analytics (GA4, funnels, cohorts, experimentation tools).

- Background in digital media or industries with memberships.
- Experience optimizing UX in paywalls and purchase flows.
- Familiarity with Jobs To Be Done and Opportunity Tree.
- Work with cross-functional agile teams.
