1. What are cookies?
The website owned by HANBAI VENTURES, S.L. (hereinafter "the website" or the "site") uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very diverse purposes, such as recognizing you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, or personalizing the way content is displayed.
The user can configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by the website, without affecting the possibility of accessing the contents of the website, but the quality of the website's operation may decrease.
The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.
2. What types of cookies exist?
Cookies, based on their Permanence, can be divided into:
- Session cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are usually used to store information that only needs to be kept for the provision of the requested service. They expire when the user closes the browser.
- Persistent cookies: These are those in which the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and treated for a defined period depending on when the purpose for which they serve is fulfilled (for example, to keep the user identified in the Services) or until they are manually deleted.
Based on their Owner, they can be divided into:
- Own cookies: These are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the requested service is provided to the user.
- Third-party cookies: These are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.
Additionally, based on their purpose, Cookies can be classified as follows:
- Technical cookies: These are those that allow the user to navigate through a website, platform, or application and use the different options or services that exist on it, including those that the editor uses to allow the management and operation of the website and enable its functions and services such as, for example, identifying the session or controlling traffic and data communication.
- Preference or personalization cookies: This type of Cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the services, so you do not have to reconfigure the service each time you visit. For example, this typology includes:
- Volume settings of video or sound players.
- Video transmission speeds that are compatible with your browser.
- Geolocation cookies: These Cookies are used to find out in which country you are located when a service is requested. This Cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help guide the content to your location.
- Registration cookies: Registration Cookies are generated once the user has registered or subsequently opened their session, and are used to identify them in the services for the following purposes:
- Keep the user identified so that, if they close a service, the browser or the computer and at another time or another day return to enter said service, they will remain identified, thus facilitating navigation without having to identify themselves again. This functionality can be suppressed if the user presses the "log out" functionality, so that this Cookie is deleted and the next time they enter the service the user will have to log in to be identified.
- Check if the user is authorized to access certain services, for example, to participate in a contest.
- Analytics or measurement cookies: Every time a User visits a service, a tool from an external provider generates an analytical Cookie on the user's computer. This Cookie that is only generated in the visit, will serve in future visits to the Web Services to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives pursued are:
-
Allow the anonymous identification of browsing users through the "Cookie" (identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate counting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
-
Identify anonymously the most visited content and therefore more attractive to users.
-
Know if the user accessing is new or a repeat visitor.
-
Important: Unless the user decides to register in a Web service, the "Cookie" will never be associated with any personal data that can identify them. These Cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help optimize the User experience on the site.
- Behavioral advertising cookies: This type of "Cookies" allows expanding the information of the ads shown to each anonymous user in the Web Services. Among other things, the duration or frequency of viewing of advertising positions, interaction with them, or the browsing patterns and/or behaviors of the user are stored as they help form an advertising interest profile. In this way, they allow offering advertising related to the user's interests.
- Third-party advertising cookies: In addition to the advertising managed by the Web on its Services, the Web offers its advertisers the option of serving ads through third parties ("AdServers").
